While the singer claimed in an interview that Nicki had requested to be on “Bang Bang,” the rapper denied this with the real facts of the situation.
It seems she is hardly ever mentioned in interviews, but Nicki Minaj made an appearance on Thursday evening (August 5) to explain a few things. In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, Jessie J talked about how the collaboration with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, known as “Bang Bang,” came about.
It is reported that the singer discovered Max Martin's song prior to Nicki hearing and agreed that she needed to get on the record as well. However, after finding out about the reference, Nicki took to Twitter to point out that a reenactment of history was in progress.

[weary face emoji] chiiille what am I the damn song monitor? Snoopin around for songs chile? [crying laughing emoji] This was said by another artist recently as well. Yallgotta stop [red balloon emoji] LoveUFace [kissy face with heart emoji].”
Twitter user wanted to know what Nicki was currently working on. The rapper pointed out that the defining characteristic was the inclusion of “1 icon and 1 trendsetter.”
