Seven years ago, with his profound declaration “Tuscan Leather” Drake opened “Nothing Was The Same.”
The third studio album Nothing Was The Same is being released today, the seventh anniversary of Drake, a project which continues to be controversial to date. The division is obviously not especially negative from anywhere — it seems instead that people are divided on where this record is placed in the overall catalog of Drizzy.
Some of the fans also say it to be his defining work, a transitional project that captured and foreshadowed his diverse musical styles. Others assume that it marked the start of a fall, a theory that is only reinforced by anticlimactic.
Lyrics Snippet
On a mission tryna shift the culture
Tell me who dissin', I got some things that'll hit the culprit
Them strep throat flows, them shits to stop all of the talkin'
All of the talkin', got one reply for all of your comments
Fuck what you think, I'm too busy, that's why you leave a message
Born a perfectionist, guess that makes me a bit obsessive
That shit I heard from you lately really relieved some pressure
Like ayy B, I got your CD, you get an E for effort
