UK singer Liam Bailey enlists Black Thought for the reggae-influenced, “Champion” remix.
Liam Bailey, from the UK, maybe a notable name for others. “While he's not a hip-hop artist, he has worked on “Villain” alongside A$AP Ferg in the past and released two EPs on Lioness Records by Amy Winehouse.
After the release of several singles throughout the year, such as “White Light” and “Angel Dust,” his new album Ekundayo is set to arrive in November.
As he prepares for the release of his follow-up to Brand New 2019, he also comes through with a remix of a loose one he dropped off last year, titled, “Champion.” The bluesy and reggae tones reach the sharpness of the pen of Black Thought as he kicks things off on the remix.
Bailey, produced by El Michels Affair's Leon Michels, offers yet another record to get us excited about his forthcoming album.
Lyrics Snippet
I got some poems to feed you
Plenty places to lead you
It's easy for me to read you
I need you to know I need you
