Rexx Life Raj and D Smoke are joining hands for the “Optimistic” collaboration of “EMPIRE Presents: Voices For Change Vol. 1” Album.
With the launch of EMPIRE Presents today: Voices For Change Vol. 1, an album dedicated to standing up in the name of social inequality, is also a collaboration between D Smoke and Rexx Life Raj. “Optimistic” serves as a worthy showcase of their chemistry, with distinct but complementary styles being brought to the table by both rappers.
Rexx Life sets things off by taking on a bouncy instrumental with a meditation on the adversities he faces and the emotional anguish resulting from the injustices around him. And he's not alone — with a solid verse of his own, breakout lyricist D Smoke adds weight to the cause, raising fears about the current pandemic and the imminent election.
