“For The Lover That I Lost” is the seventh track from Sam Smith's third album Love Goes. Originally co-written by Smith, Jimmy Napes, and the Norwegian duo StarGate, this version is a new version of the song which was recorded by Canadian singer Céline Dion for her November 2019 album Courage.
Love Goes is the third studio album by British singer-songwriter Sam Smith, slated for release on October 30, 2020, via Capitol Records.
On March 30, 2020, Smith announced they would be pushing back the release date for the album that was previously called To Die For.
