Seventeen years ago, Ludacris kicked off “Chicken-N-Beer” with the defiant anthem “Blow It Out.”
Looking back, 2003 feels like one of those years in which artists have literally been pushed to succeed, resulting in no lack of classic hip-hop albums; in fact, there are those who still believe that it was one of the greatest years that music has ever seen.
Atlanta lyricist Ludacris contributed to the cause, setting up his third studio album, Chicken-N-Beer, to this very day seventeen years ago. Ludacris made sure to begin his delectably named project on a defiant note following the success of his classic sophomore drop Word Of Mouf, running a victory lap with “Blow It Out” around doubters.
